Most guys have been wearing the wrong size underwear for years and never noticed. Too big and it bunches and rides up. Too small and it digs in and leaves marks. Here's how to measure yourself, what a good fit actually feels like, and how to pick between sizes.
Step 1: Measure your waist
Grab a soft tape measure and wrap it around your waist where your underwear sits, usually just below the belly button for a low-rise cut. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and don't suck in. That number is what you'll match to a size chart.
Don't go by your jeans size. Jeans are often labelled differently from your actual waist measurement, so measure.
Step 2: Match it to the chart
All DINGO underwear, thongs, briefs, jockstraps and swimwear use the same size range, so one measurement covers everything:

Step 3: Choose your fit if you're between sizes
- Size down for a firmer, more compressive fit. Great for training and if you like that locked-in feel.
- Size up for a more relaxed fit. Better for all-day wear if you prefer less compression.
What a good fit looks like
- Waistband: sits flat without rolling or digging in. You should be able to slide two fingers under it.
- Pouch: supportive and secure, not squashing you and not loose.
- Legs: no gaping at the leg openings, no tight elastic marks.
- Back: stays where it should through a full day, without riding up.
Signs you're in the wrong size
- Red marks at the waist or legs: too small.
- Bunching, sagging or constant adjusting: too big.
- The waistband rolls over: usually too small or the wrong rise.
Swimwear fits a little differently
Swim fabric relaxes slightly when wet, so swim briefs should feel snug when dry. If you're between sizes for swimwear, the smaller size is usually the better call.
